InfoSWMM is an ArcGIS-integrated application for a comprehensive hydrologic, hydraulic, water quality and management simulation package. It efficiently analyzes sophisticated network models with over one million elements. While doing all of that, it still seamlessly integrates advanced sewer collection system modeling.
InfoSWMM enables engineers and GIS professionals working simultaneously on the same integrated platform. Combining powerful GIS analysis and hydraulic modeling in a single environment increases model and asset productivity. You can now create, edit, map, analyze, and optimize your sewer network models. You will also have the ability to Instantly review, query and display simulation results from within ArcGIS. The unique interoperable geospatial framework enables performance and makes sure you are still getting a scalable and functional system. InfoSWMM leverages the geospatial power provided by ArcGIS to enhance the model creation. You will be able to access a new profile view, 3D structure views as well as the new basemap layers.
InfoSWMM can be used to model the entire land phase of the hydrologic cycle for urban stormwater and wastewater collection systems. The model can perform single event or long-term (continuous) rainfall-runoff simulations accounting for climate, soil, land use, and topographic conditions of the watershed. In addition to simulating runoff quantity, InfoSWMM can also predict runoff quality including buildup and washoff of pollutants from primarily urban watersheds., The routing portion of InfoSWMM transports using either, kinematic or dynamic wave routing across a range of modeling elements. All of this can be done with Real-Time Control (RTC).
InfoSWMM is ideally suited for many types of sewer system analysis applications including:
